cincinattus?
I remember that "cincinattus" fella' and "gerardus". Never knew either one, personally, but they did have something smart to say every once in awhile.

I wish I could remember the single-word nic used by someone, I never knew who, that I used to actually look forward to reading. They never started new topics, but they would weigh in on some of the most controversial, with excellent responses. They probably had legal training -- may have been an attorney or judge. It was (something)us, and I want to say "gerardus". Always kept their cool. That's rare these days.
Yes, it is so important to keep one's cool. Manners are underrated.

Moreover, it is equally as significant to never start a new topic on a forum. It's so, well, uppity.

I start new forum topics all the time.

  But then, I have been accused of being "uppity" from time to time.

Those were the two!
NOW all I have to do is figure out how to get ahold of them .... seven or eight years later!

Remember how Chuck had that avatar of his head wearing sunglasses with all the serpent heads for hair like Medusa?

He used to drag it out every now and then when he'd get pissed at the old mule (who's name shall never be mentioned) for making up yet another identity to troll the forum.

That would make a cool contest. How many of her nics can you remember? There had to be 15 or 20 of em'

Petunia was one of my personal favorites.

I can't remember them all. She had a couple that she went through just in a matter of a few days. Those were mainly to launch an attact or give another "me too" to one of her many rants!

I miss Genrecide. HINT HINT

And Puc's creative fiction!

And Enuff's cute horse avatar! And that time she wouldn't share her watermelon.

And Jasmine's wardrobe of "white dog!"

Oh, and Scrutney's WalMart epic... which paralleled Dante's circles of Hell LMAO

Then there were Coebul's provocative avatars. When I first joined the bums, he had a collection of sexy butts in rotation. When I commented on them, he changed them... to boobs. haha

Which reminds me of Bieramar and the way he holds boobs and Miracle Whip in equally high esteem

auntmarymoo:
"I miss Genrecide. HINT HINT"
i am so out of touch with local politics that i wouldn't know where to start.
we had a city sales tax ref a couple of years back.
i voted for it.
i like the mayor and one of the commissioners.
and that exhausts my pitiful store of involvement in local goings on about town.
and genrecide© was local.
i make no apologies for ignoring our fair city...
i've been in full blown "duck and cover" mode since last november.
the national scene is just...so much more fun to watch.
this is a tradgi-comedy in progress.
shakespeare would eat this shit up.

"big-ly...or not big-ly?
that is the question.
whether tis nobler to suffer the tweets and arrows of outrageous ignominy?
the crooked hillarys and the psycho joes, yon fatted heifer rosie?
if you cut us do we not tweet bleed?
oh mika, oh mehgyn....
i'm no ronald reagan.
sad."

where was i?
genrecide©

i read a few installments a couple of years ago and some of the local references were so obscure, i couldn't decipher them. and i wrote them.
but i'm sure they were a laugh riot, back in the day.

anyway...
i'll see what i can do.
but i doubt if the focus will be local.

maybe i'll do a treatment for netflix:
"orange is the new vulgar"
"house of thrones"...or "game of cards".

the possibilities are endless.

Had lunch last week with FSUwriter and his better half. Got the most non-committal commitment from anybody I've ever talked to. You know how these Hollywood types are, though! Poor Jessica. He and I got started on politics and history and we must have gone on for three or four hours! Poor girl only weighs about 12-15 pounds soaking wet, she enjoyed the food but ran out long before we were ready to surrender the booth. He might makes some playtime for us.
